April Kiva update

April Kiva update!

The LCubed Kiva meeting was this week and we had a very full kitty to distribute amongst the entrepreneurs of the world.
With nearly 800 big one’s to divvy out Annette and I went on a strategically driven loaning spree.
We distributed $700 as far and diversely wide as we could find within the realm of the specified criteria: female, across all continents within the industries of health, education and agriculture.

Here are our new recruits:

Jane Wairimu Nganga, 67, Farmer in Ndunyu Njeru

Jane has farmed in Ndunyu Njeru for the last 21 years. She was introduced to Kiva by her friend. This will be her first loan. She plans to use the loan amount to buy seeds and fertilizer. http://www.kiva.org/lend/291255

Sar, Mang, Lim, Orng, Chheang, Chheang, Ut, Neang, Ber – Farmers in Cambodia

Bok Jom Group – Purchasing Fruit and Veg to sell

Sugirmaa Battsetseg

Purchasing additional stock for her store.

On going Micro lending (not one off charitable giving)

The lending process is already proving itself positive we have received back repayments to the value $546!
It’s great incentive to keep giving and we still have $96 in the pool, so if you come across a favourable candidate please send the link my way and we’ll look to fund their project.
Gooooo Kiva!
